Veteran Swedish born singer-songwriter just released her fifth album Broken Politics. The album contains a number of socially conscious tunes including “Shot Gun Shack” which is a mournful indictment of gun violence.
“Pick up a gun you know you gonna use it / Know that gun its gonna get loaded / say my name before you pull it / Too late you know just took that bullet.”
Those lyrics sadly resonate in today’s political climate. She could be singing about war-torn countries or she just as easily be singing about American gun culture.
