This tune appears to be the first release by the emerging singer-songwriter Jez Marie. According to the quick bio provided to me she “merges pop, R&B, hip-hop, and disco funk, delivering meaningful lyrics on love, compassion, and unity. Advocating for the marginalized, she spreads positivity and faith in an industry often centered on negativity.” It will be interesting to see what future releases will bring, but that bio is an apt description of this tune.
Marie wrote this galvanizing tune to encourage voting. This tune and accompanying video pay homage to influential women who have played a significant role in shaping our society. It also speaks out for women’s reproductive rights. It highlights the need to take action to ensure that these decisions remain in the hands of women and their healthcare providers, free from unconstitutional government control.
