This is the 2nd single from the Canadian politically charged punk band’s upcoming album At Peace, out May 2nd. The scathing satirical tune opens with the absurd hypothetical scenario: “If baby Hitler and your family dog were both found drowning in a lake and you could only rescue one because — well, that’s never really been explained. Which pitiful creature would you condemn? Which of God’s children would you save? And only when you’ve staggered back to shore will you be apprised of your unforgivable mistake.”
Instead of being a serious query, it is meant to lampoon a society that gets bogged down with unlikely and ridiculous hypotheticals, rather than focusing on trying to address the serious issues that impact humankind.
